micro1 Retrieval Benchmark Launch

We hosted a forum session on AI retrieval in finance, featuring Shaudi Mahdavi, Member of Technical Staff at micro1, and Strib Walker, Head of Product at Rogo, moderated by Mark Esposito, PhD, Chief Economist at micro1.

The session introduced CortexRetrievalBench, a new benchmark for evaluating how well AI systems retrieve and rank financial documents. We reviewed our findings, including a notable gap where the right document often appeared in the results but was rarely ranked first, and discussed what this means for how retrieval errors can quietly shape the evidence AI systems rely on in high-stakes financial workflows.
