Frequently asked questions
Who can refer candidates?
Anyone. You don’t need to be part of micro1 or already certified. Recruiters, partners, family, friends — anyone can share roles and refer strong candidates.
How will I know what’s happening with my referrals?
You can track all referrals from the My Referrals tab, including: who you referred and their current status.
What if someone I refer is already in the micro1 platform?
If the candidate applied independently before clicking your referral link, the referral will not be attributed.
How long does certification take?
The AI interview takes 20–40 minutes, depending on the skills required for a role. Some roles may require a brief follow-up skills assessment.
When do payouts happen?
After the referred candidate completes 10 hours of work on a project within 3 months of onboarding.
How do I receive payment?
Your bonus will be credited to your micro1 account wallet, and you can withdraw it anytime using your preferred payment method.
Is there a limit to how many referrals I can submit?
No. You can refer as many candidates as you'd like.
Do I need to create a new account if i already have a micro1 account?
Yes, a quick registration is required to collect your referral policy consent.
What happens if someone I refer applies without using my referral link?
The referral will not be attributed to you. To be eligible for a payout, the candidate must sign up and apply using your unique referral link. Applications created without the referral link cannot be retroactively attributed to a referral.
Are referrals available for all job positions?
Referrals apply to all roles listed on the Opportunities Dashboard and to any positions on the job portal that have referrals enabled. Referral eligibility is always shown on the job listing.
Does referring a candidate guarantee they will get matched to a role?
No. Referring a candidate does not guarantee placement. All candidates go through the standard micro1 evaluation process, and matching depends on role availability, client requirements, and how well the candidate’s skills align with open opportunities.
Can my referred candidate apply to multiple roles? How does the payout work?
Yes. Your referred candidate may apply to and be considered for multiple roles on the platform.
Referral payouts are based on the first role your referred candidate is successfully matched to. You will receive the payout amount associated with that role once the referral criteria are met.
If the candidate is later matched to additional roles, no additional payouts are issued. Each referred candidate is eligible for one referral payout only, tied to their first successful match.
